Cristina Chiappini      website
Cristina Chiappini was born in Rome Italy in 1967, she works between Rome and Treviso. She began as a freelance graphic designer in 1989, and has since worked for both private and public sector companies, in the fields of publishing, corporate design, web design, interactive projects, and motion-graphic television, TV corporate identity (for RAI International italian public TV). She worked for Toomotion Group in the fields of flash-design, motion graphics, opening titles for film. The permanent observatory of design ADI - Association for Industrial Design has selected for publication ADI Index Design 2003 her site: cristinachiappini.com Her website was selected to participate to 'Compasso d'Oro' 2004.
Eric Kindel      website
Eric Kindel was born in the United States and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and a Master of Arts from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (London). He joined the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication in 1998 and teaches undergraduate design practice, as well as theory and history elements throughout the degree programmes. In addition to teaching and research, Eric Kindel works as a consultant designer on a variety of print and web-related projects and contributes articles and reviews to a number of publications.
Fred Smeijers      website
Fred Smeijers is a Dutch type designer, born in Endhoven, NL, in 1961. He has specialized in typographic research and development for product manufacturers. In 2000 Smeijers was awarded Gerrit Noordzij Prize in recognition for his achievements in the field of practice, research and education. He is the author of two books: 'Counterpunch' and 'Type Now', published by Hyphen Press in London. In 2004 Smeijers was appointed Professor of Digital Typography at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig. He now lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium and Leipzig, Germany.
Fabrizio Schiavi      website
Fabrizio Schiavi studied Graphic Design in 1989 at Istituto d'Arte in Parma. In 1998 after working for three years as graphic designer for the Italian record company Expanded Music, he left to set up his own graphic design studio, FSD (Fabrizio Schiavi Design), in Piacenza. Clients of his studio include Ferrari, C.P. Company, Mandarina Duck, Philip Morris, Vic Matié, Expanded Music and many others. Since 1994 he designs and sells many fonts through his web site http://www.fsd.it/ or trough many international distributors. His works have appeared in various international magazines and books.
Luciano Perondi      website
Luciano Perondi was born in 1976 in Busto Arsizio (VA), and has been involved in type, graphic and information design since 1998. In 2003 he created Molotro, a studio whose aim is the design of custom and commercial typefaces and also graphic and information design. Molotro's projects often include a part of scientific research. He is interested in any aspect of the writing systems: both in the history of writing and its developments beyond alphabet. He has designed several custom typefaces for corporate identities, events, publishers, sign systems. Two of his typefaces are also included in ADI Design Index and one of them has been mentioned at Compasso d'Oro Award. His works include not only type design, but also scientifical and technical information design. His main field of interest is the non linear use of writing and pictorial languages. He designs also experimental pages about this topic for the magazine Experience. Luciano Perondi has been a member of AIAP since 1998 and a member of ATypI since 2004
Cornel Windlin      website
Cornel Windlin was born in Switzerland in 1964. After graduating from Schule für Gestaltung Luzern, he moved to London in 1988 to work with Neville Brody and later as art editor of "The Face" magazine. In 1993 he returned to his native Switzerland and started his own design practice. His studio has been producing work for a number of prestigious clients in both cultural and commercial fields, among them Tate Museums London, Kunsthaus Zürich, Kunstmuseum Basel, Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, Schauspielhaus Zürich, as well as Vitra, Parco Department Stores, Mitsubishi, NTT, Fosters Beer and many others. He co-founded Lineto, a digital type foundry which has developed into an internationally acclaimed platform for typography and graphic design. Windlin’s posters and book designs have won numerous awards and have been widely published in design books and international graphics publications like "Eye Magazine", "I.D." and " Idea". He has lectured in the United States, England, Germany, Austria, Italy, Israel and Switzerland.

Philippe Desarzens After achieving a Ph.D in ethology at the University of Geneva, Philippe Desarzens studied graphic design at the University of Art & Design Lausanne (Ecal). He is now living and working in Zürich, Switzerland.
Gilles Gavillet      website
Gilles Gavillet Studied at University of Art & Design Lausanne (Ecal) and at the Cranbrook Academy of Arts. His type, poster and book designs have been awarded at the Swiss design awards in '99 and '02. After working a few years with Cornel Windlin in Zurich, he now lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland.
Joel Nordstrom      website
and Lars Ohlin, are graphic design graduates from the University of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm and they work in a wide range of techniques including live-action, 2D and 3D. They have since created original campaigns working with EMI Sweden, Z-TV, Nike Emea Brand Design, Amsterdam, Fallon and Stockholm University. Their work has also been showcased at various exhibitions across the globe including the Stockholm Fashion Fair, Gainsborough Studios in London, Berlin U-Bahn and Le Centre Culturel Suisse de Paris. Joel and Lars performed, along with Vidiots at the event Take Me to Sweden - A Night dedicated to the new sound of Swedish techno, electro & house Nitsa Club, Barcelona during the Sonar Festival this year.
